Things you should be trying to do leading up to the Worlds
1 - Good Warm ups and Cool downs.
As we start to dance long and hard, our need for warm up and cool down becomes even greater.
2 - Stretching
Stretching out the body parts, in particular those you feel are more stiff. Everyone has different areas that need a little extra care.
3 - Rolling out
This will also help release tension from muscles...focus on your tightest areas.
4 - Daily focus techniques
These will help you stay focused. As the body gets tired, focus starts to waver. Even a simple thing like watching inspirational clips of dancing will help.
5 - Food and water
Make sure you are eating good quality food and hydrating with at least a pint of water at every class.
6 - Ice
Ice your feet and legs after sessions, even for 10 minutes...it will make a huge difference.
7 - Rest day
This is really important! If your body doesn’t recover you will NOT get fitter or more skilled. Use this day to think about corrections, performance style etc but try not to dance!
